Alien vs Predator debuts at UK top spot

The new AVPR: Alien vs Predator -
Requiem film has debuted at the top of the UK box office.
According to ACNeilson EDI rank, the film took £1.9 million in its first week, beating fellow debutant No Country for Old Men into second place with a box office of £1.2 million.
The film is the sequel to AVP: Aliens vs Predator - which was released in 2004.
The film also follows two separate franchises.
The Alien series originally began with Ridley Scott's Alien in 1979 and a "predator" first made its big screen entrance in 1987, and stared alongside
Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Aliens vs Predator, which is directed by Colin and Greg Strause, features
Steven Pasquale,
Reiko Aylesworth and
John Ortiz.
Other films featured in the top ten this week were PS I Love You,
I Am Legend and
Charlie Wilson's War, which stars both
Tom Hanks and former
Pretty Woman and
Notting Hill star
Julia Roberts.
