Mad Motorists
A Customer from North Yorkshire, England,
3rd April, 2005
Mad, indeed, attempting to re-create the original Peking to Paris rally. Always interesting that everyone assumes old cars can't cope with rough conditions. Not so - old cars were built when conditions were rough and are probably far better designed for poor roads than their modern counterparts. As yet, we have't seen part 2 so don't know the exact ratio of modern to old when it comes to cars completing of the course. There was enough of interest to keep us viewing, but more about each country, the scenery, customs and so on, would have been better - especially if it meant less of Rosie Thomas who comes across as whingeing and dramatic throughout. She shares the honours of who we would least like to be partnered with on the Peking to Paris Rally with the Chelsea girls - give us the blunt northern chap, his wife and mother-in-law any day in preference, and we'll be happy. We would advise spreading this out over three or four nights viewing, but it's certainly worth taking a look, and we shall be ordering Part 2.
