Not worth it
A Customer from Slough, England, 26th April, 2006
Badly narrated and directed documentary. The presenter/narrator obviously was not chosen for her knowledge or her presentation skills. American/MTV/Hollywood style approach to a subject which requires subtlty and grace. Does not explore any deeper issues and no personal involvement of the narrator/presenter with her subject. Definitely one of the worst documentary on India I have seen, and I have seen most of them. To see a good documentary on India, watch Mark Shands 'Queen of Elephants' or IMAX documentary 'India:Kingdom of Tiger'.

Very informative
Amber from London, England, 6th July, 2006
It was good to see both of the India DVDs to give a good picture of what it will be like there. Also gave good tips on what to experience in the different regions, e.g. like where to get clothes made cheaply, what food's what and what to expect in the way of the Indian transport system. I liked that the presenters/travellers were normal/average people and not beauty queens so they were experiencing it first hand without being protected by their body guards. I only have 1.5 months in India so now I have a better picture of what to see and what to miss.

O.K, Very Basic. You get to see some of India in little detail & not much scenery
more about the presenter than the country
suto from , 23rd January, 2008
If you want a film that really informs about India, don't bother with this one. The presenter is self absorbed and totally uninteresting. He seems to feel that he is more interesting than the fascinating country in which he travels.
A good overview

Gave a basic overview of India, but some of the presenters weren't really that inspiring. I guess we'll just have to go and check it out for ourselves!
