Set in sunny Australia -Celebrity Chef(Saif Ali) starts off on wrong note with Radio Presentor (Preity Zinta) - both meet again - fall in love- decide to live together -landlord (Javed Jaffery) is indian version of crocodile dundee!!), until she gets in the family way and things get serious - lots of emotions and high drama- Movie ends with him gathering courage to ask her to marry him! This is a young and peppy, romantic comedy , and brings a smile to your face - might even set some people off on that inevitable desire to settle in Austarlia.

salaam namaste all!!!!!

A Customer from England, 16th November, 2005

It was refreshing to see that they didn`t do what they normally do with an indian film, which is to copy hollywoods latest blockbuster and then shred it to pieces. It had a great soundtrack which made you want to go out and buy the cd immediately. The script was well written. It had all the ingredients to make a good indian film, e.g, emotion, comedy. It is definately worth giving up 3 hours of your life and i would be greatly surprized if salaam namaste wasn`t the new catchprase!!!

Brave Venture

A Customer from Welwyn Garden City, 10th January, 2006

The movie is a landmark in Indian cinema just for the theme it is based on. Few Indian movies have shown pre -marital sex as a 'matter-of-fact' happening , without any taboo attached to it, as it is in this movie. Another different thing abt this film is that the background / other relations of the main protagonists is kept to a minimum. Of the 4 stars given, 3 are just for the these. Otherwise, the movie is pretty much typical Indian fare. Boy Meets girl, They sing songs together, they get into a tiff which finally gets resolved and they live happily ever after. Watch it if u wanna see something different from run of the mill 'Bollywood' fare.

typicall bollywood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Customer from bristol, 15th December, 2006

If you want to see beautiful people in stunning settings and even more stunning clothes, without an atom of sense, trying to broach serious subjects with zombie like acting, then yes this film is for you.

Mostly entertaining

mjm3346 from Bishops Stortford, 9th August, 2006

Catchy songs and a reasonable story apart from the final few scenes where for some reason the film drops into comic farce..still overall worth watching.

So bad I nearly puked

A Customer from London England, 17th August, 2010

How sad that Preeti Zinta would bother with a film like this, so utterly devoid of charm or positive messages. I felt as much nausea as she must have done with her 'pregnancy', battling to be indifferent to the utter scummy scumbag of a flatmate...grrr. What are women supposed to make of this film? That the scoundrel somehow redeems himself after a couple of hours of tediousness? I honestly couldn't watch it to the end and felt sad to have wasted my time on it.

Very corny and flaky - no substance. I didn't even watch this movie to the end as it didn't maintain my interest long enough!

awful

A Customer from Harrow, 19th December, 2009

the film attempts to deal with the serious issues of sex before marriage, pregnancy etc.. but it does these very poorly imho. It somehow tries to fuse the standard menu of a bollywood film with real world issues, and the result is a hotchpotch of music/dance/comedy/theatre which does not sit well together at all!
