What were u thinking SLB???

Sabz from , 2nd January, 2008

Seriously what were u thinking SLB??? His previous movies have been mesmerising so what went wrong here. Well first of all, neither of the newcomers could act esp the actress she was far too fake..it was meant to be a simple movie that u can watch with the family so what's with the new guy showing his ass off... The storyline is so unrealistic so failrytale like that in today's society i don't think movies like this will work. The only highlight of the movie was rani mukherjee and the grandma which is why i have given this movie 1 star... Even the songs are nuthn great really did expect better if your looking for a 'hum dil de chuke sanam' or a 'devdas' then u will def be disappointed def expected better for SLB.. maybe he shud jst stick with established actors and better scriptwriters. wouldn't waste my time or money on this movie.

beautiful

A Customer from London, 13th November, 2007

yesterday I saw this movie in the big screen. It's a very beautiful movie if you look at the scenary (not real, just made for the movie). The main actors: he's very funny and she, very beautiful. They are basically new but are related to the Kapoor family'. For westerners can be too long (2:40')for a story that is so simply and the end ...it's not the end that every body expects so you will be dissapointed....but this is a movie to be enjoyed visually and enjoy the perfomance of this new actors including the 90 years old grandma.

Saawariya

I absolutely loved this film and to realise that it is based on Dostoyevsky's short story White Nights was something of a revelation! The acting is superb with all the actors being so completely in the moment that I felt it was utterly believable and to see a classic story told in the Bollywood way and so cleverly is just sublimely brilliant. I more than highly recommend it.

Different

dumbolives from , 1st March, 2010

This has kind of a Moulin Rouge feel to it. It is beautifully done, very colourful and vibrant but also very sad and wistful. Ranbir is a brill dancer. There are some nice strong characters in it. Salman Khan is tolerable because he doesn't say much, which was a plus for me! On the whole I thought this was very good if not quite what I had expected. Worth a watch though.
