Tom Baker returns as the fourth doctor in THE SONTARAN EXPERIMENT in an eerie tale of a deserted Earth and the group of space travellers lured there by a phoney distress call.

Tom Baker at his best!
A Customer from Up'north and right a bit!, 15th October, 2006
Tom Baker is undoubtedly the greatest of the doctors. Witty, charming and has the sharp edge that is like a foreplay between spoof and serious drama. This is perhaps not the best of the Who's DVDs available but its most definately worth a look!

Better than Genesis of the Daleks
William Clements from Reading, UK, 23rd September, 2008
It seems this must be a later short episode after the Genesis series. I'm not so sure of the timeline (it'd be great if there was a timeline available so I could rent the old Who's in order). But the Sontaran was very much like the recent modern episode, which suprised me. And I felt that Tom Baker was a lot more into the role in this series. The rest of the actors an dthe stories needed work, an dthe special effects just make me smile and reminisce about how bad things were in those days, but it doesn't detract from the overall satisfaction in remembering my old mate Tom Baker in his finest role.
Mid-season stocking filler
A Customer from Yorkshire, 9th November, 2007
This was actually quite a pleasant surprise. Two-episode stocking fillers became something of a staple diet in the Peter Davison era, but this is a nicely balanced two-parter, with an appearance by another lone Sontaran, and some good confrontational set pieces between him and the Doctor. The story as a whole acted as an excellent link for the Nerva space station 'arc' (no pun intended in relation to the previous story!).
Short Who
A Customer from Inverclyde, Scotland, 5th November, 2007
A 2 Part story continuing the time ring plot link. It's ok , not great but has a few hilairous lines - Styre ' why do you make that disagreeable sound?' when Sarah Jane screams, being one of them.
